My husband is a landscape contractor — looking for a good value on landscape pillars — made from plaster , concrete or wood, tuscan style comes to mind as a fisrt choice but all styles are welcome. These will be used in the landscape – not up against or in front of a house or anything – thanks!
hey there eaganfam– thanks for those great ideas — that IS super creative! thank you — i hope i get some more interesting answers like yours!

My first thought is hunt down architectural salvage yards.

Creative idea…..large diameter PVC pipe..they can be textured with plaster, prime and paint….there are the spray on stone textured paint that you could use with a sealer on top.

Perhaps use scrap molding pieces, nailed the length of the pipe, faux painted (distressed). You could even make ragged cuts on the top to look like broken pillars. AND, you could find all sorts of finials from Lowe’s or Home Depot to top them if that was the look you want.
